I am a Creative Director/Art Director. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design, but if you ask me, my best learnings came from my Mom, Dad, and traveling. All my projects are a combination of data, documentary, performance, photography and storytelling. I have been honored by Cannes Lions, Effies and many other awards. I live in Chicago with my wife, Lynn, and dog, Penny.
My mantra today is, “If you didn’t feel it, I didn’t do my job.” -Winston Chueng
“I have had the honor to have Winston on my team for nearly 6 years. Superior work ethic, extreme passion for the business and always looking and pushing for a new way of thinking is how I would describe this dedicated creative. It is a pleasure to watch as this young man develops into a leader in this industry for years to come.” -Lewis Williams, Chief Creative Officer, Burrell Communications
“Winston = Work Ethic, Work Horse, Winner. There is nobody more unfailingly reliable or nicer on the planet. Winston gives 500% to getting the job done beautifully, and he is tireless in the pursuit of excellence in his craft. I worked with him every chance I got. You should too.” -Christine Saldanha, VP Group Creative Director
“Winston, is a perfectionist who gives his all to every project. He’s in early, stays late, will Skype, work on the weekend, meet you for coffee, or whatever else it takes to get the job, not only done – but done right. Winston’s conceptual prowess and Art Direction know-no-bounds.” -Terrence Burrell, VP Group Creative Director
“I have worked with Winston on numerous projects. He is by far one of the most talented and hardest working people I have ever met. Winston challenges himself and others. It needs to be noted that Winston never settles. He is a perfectionist and it shows in who he is as an Art Director and more importantly as a person. Without realizing it, Winston is a great mentor. He is kind, caring, nurturing to young creatives, thoughtful in his feedback and a true professional in every aspect of his job. The world would be a better place if we all had “a little bit of Winston” in us.” -Debra Amsden, VP/Director Broadcast Production
“I can’t think of a person I’d rather give my highest recommendation to than Winston. He is one of a kind. Not only is he the most optimistic, hardest- working, funny, charming, talented art directors I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with in this business, he is a true friend. The kind that would help you bury a body. I’m just saying.” -Jeff Ross, Photographer
“Winston is a phenomenal person to work with. He is creative, has the attention to detail that is so important and never settles for good enough. He is a true team player who gives 110 percent everyday. I enthusiastically recommend him.” -Cheryl Blockus, Director of Production Resources
“If you’re going to work with Winston you better bring your A Game. He constantly pushes me to do the best work I can. We’ve worked together for a number of years on American Airlines, McDonald’s, Tide, Allstate and a few other clients. Winston has an excellent eye for design and type. He’s not just in it to make an ad–he wants to go further, whether it’s a big event stunt, a digital idea or whatever someone hasn’t thought of yet. He’s not an ad guy. He’s an idea guy. And he likes samurai movies.” -Ron Smith, Creative Director
“The enthusiastic recommendations here are no surprise. I’ve known Winston a long time–as a fellow student, art director, and friend and his consistent dedication to his craft and his co-workers is rare. What’s also rare is his unique outlook which gives him an ability to visualize incredibly fresh and always surprising solutions out of thin air. He never just pushes repeat. On top of that, he’s just a good person with a big heart.” -Pete Noback, Group Creative Director
“Winston is one for detail. With his keen eye on design Winston is quick to comment and give his opinion on best practices. Winston is leveraging towards more digital initiatives, which definitely falls into my realm and is a great asset when thinking outside the box. With the combination of traditional media and digital media under his belt, Winston is definitely a key player on anyone’s team when it comes to forward-thinking integrated campaigns.” -Jason Uzarraga, Digital Creative Strategist
